The Bookstore is not responsible for textbooks not received or received in unsalable condition.

If we receive your textbook and deem it to be in unsalable condition, we will notify you via e-mail.  You will have 2 weeks to notify us of your desires for the disposition of unacceptable books.  After that time they will be destroyed.  All decisions of what constitutes an acceptable book are at the discretion of Mountain State University Bookstore, and are final.

Wholesale price is pre-determined by national wholesalers.  Old editions have no value and will not be bought.  Books needing repair have a reduced value.  Badly damaged books have no value and will not be bought.  We reserve the right to make final judgment on a book’s condition.  All buyback transactions are final.

The bookstore does not purchase study guides, work books, or lab manuals.

If the bookstore can’t buy your book:

The bookstore has a national used book vendor to conduct each buyback.  They may need your book if we are overstocked or it’s a current edition and just not being used again.  They will not pay you half price as the bookstore would, but you have the option of keeping your book or trying to sell it at the next buy back.  (Some courses are only offered once a year or every two years and the professor may or may not order the textbook again.  By holding your book there is the chance it could go into a new edition.

Please remember the purpose of buyback it to save you money by providing used books for the next term, not to buy books that are no longer used.
